As well as providing opportunities for young people the project offers an extensive range of volunteering opportunities for all sections of the community. Volunteering can be a wonderful way to gain experience that will help to:

As a volunteer you play an important and decisive role in the project that has a real impact on the local community. Volunteers are crucial to the development of long term sustainable sessions that the whole community can enjoy by developing positive relationships with young people and dispalying themselves as a positive role model to follow. There are many different forms of volunteering with each being an essential role that will help to have an impact on the community:

Coaching young people at sport sessions

The role of a volunteer is an important position that will bring you into contact with young people. As a result there is an application proces that has to be gone through and includes:

Completing a Nacro Volunteer Application Form

Completing a Criminal records Bureau Check
-
Informal meeting with Project Staff
To begin the Process of becoming a volunteer please go to the Documents Page and download, complete and return the Volunteer Application Form to the project. As a volunteer the project then provides a full induction programme that supports each of its volunteers to develop their skills and abilities to work within the community and includes:

Child Protection training

Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training

Sports Coaching Qualification

Regular Support and Supevision
